Its Official. CNG and LPG variants of Mahindra's flagship sedan Logan, will be out on sale in the next 3-4 months. The Logan seems to have worked for Mahindra and the statistics describe it's runaway success; 12% of the C segment market share.
The alternate fuels will power the 1.6 litre petrol variant, which will approximately become dearer by 50,000 rupees. The inflation has taken no prisoners, and as a result, a price hike of Rs, 4000 to 5000 was also announced on both the petrol and diesel versions of the Logan.
The company plans to up the number of existing dealers from 94 to 144 by the end of 2008. With this announcement, four launches are awaited from Mahindra. The Scorpio A/T, Bolero Micro-hybrid and the CNG/LPG Logans will be out by the end of this year.
